Default Monsanto Loses In Europe!!

http://www.ir-d.dk/gmo-lose-europe-v...al-organisatio

Monsanto will halt production of genetically modified corn in all of
Europe, except Spain, Portugal and Czech republic. The agribusiness
multinational states not to spend any more money on trials, development,
marketing, court cases or anything else to get GM corn accepted in
Europe.

cheers, press on Europe and get those last
three countries eliminated and then the world
has a resevoir of non-monsanto seeds to use.

i don't know if there are other GMO seeds
in use in Europe (Bt is one of them, there
might be others too like the vitamin A in
rice or potatoes genetic changes).

Hungary Destroys All Monsanto GMO Corn Fields

In Hungary genetically modified (GM) seeds are banned. There is no
certainty that the GM crops they burned didn't spread any seeds or
pollen before destroyed so checks will continue despite the law that
states traders are supposed to make sure their products are GMO free! I
know right?! During the investigation, they found Pioneer Monsanto
products among the seeds planted. Once discovered they burned and wrote
the years harvest off. They are that serious.

Most of the local farmers have complained since they discovered they
were using GMO seeds. With the season already under way, it was too late
to sow new seeds, so this years harvest was lost. The company that sold
the seeds in Baranya county is now being liquided... so, if any
compensation is paid, the money will be paid mainly to that company¹s
creditors, rather than the farmers.

i would check too as it seems governments and
grain-elevator operators/shippers can make mistakes.

i'm curious what tests they use tho.

it is still early enough to plant many things.

Fortunately, they grow many things like sweet corn, peas, gherkins, pickles,
tomatoes, and poultry. Think Kansas.

Unfortunately, this beautiful country has a very conservative government
which is trying to undermine freedom of the press, the power of the country's legal
system, and the independence of the Hungarian Central Bank. They have
instituted tough new laws making it possible to fine or jail the
homeless for living on the street. Hungary is home to the third largest
Jewish population in Europe, and that community is feeling increasingly
under threat, as anti-Semitisim in Hungary is on the rise.
