Default a half pound

the smallest quantity of seeds i could buy
in bulk from the grain elevator was a half
pound.

i wished to get some winter rye, but he'd
already sold out, the last three bags went a
few days ago. so for some reason i asked
him how much and he said $19.50/50lb bag. i
only need a bit. he said he doesn't sell
smaller amounts than 50lb bags. he's sold out
anyways. for some strange reason i always
figured he'd keep a bag handy for people like
me who only need a little...

in the meantime i have a half pound of turnip
seeds (that's a large number of turnip seeds!),
half a pound of white clover seeds and half a
pound of buckwheat seeds.

guess i will have to shop some more. i would
like to add some non-GMO: barley, winter wheat
and winter rye to the clay breaking and other
ground cover winter lineup (i already have peas,
alfalfa, birdsfoot trefoil) and of course the
existing opportunistic weeds.
