Default Cherry top-grafted family tree

What experiences have people had with "family" cherry trees, trees with more
than one type of fruit top grafted on? I found some information about family
apple trees which suggested they were not particularly useful, but I'm
wondering about the cherry case. I'm thinking of top-grafting onto a small
cherry tree, currently in a pot, which I own.
