LOL!!!

You forgot about watching your newly copied DVD movies and movies with
your cable descrambler while enjoying your refinanced house that you will
pay off with the money you get from that guy in Nigeria (or wherever he is
from this week) who wants your help to get his money out of the country.
Surely, you looked at those photos (at least that's what the subject line
implies) that you'll never forget or the stunt cars you can get at
discount. We can watch our money double (when the guy from Nigeria comes
through) while ordering our valium, xanax, whatever. And don't forget to
look at the requested info or check on the missed meeting. The newer ones
are now telling me to check on my eBay payment or PayPal account (neither
of which I use). Then there is the top quality software that we can get
while dating is made easy (won't your spouse love that?!) Mustn't forget
that someone is telling us how to save money on gas while joining the
thousands that are earning big money on eBay. All this without opening a
single email; imagine what we could do if we opened and read any of them!
If this spam was edible, world hunger would no longer exist.

Sad turn in my life, one of my ladies is missing . . . little red hen
Georgia. At first I thought she might be setting somewhere that I've not
yet found, but it's been three days since I've seen her. Someone had
pushed my RV gate inward enough to leave an opening big enough for her to
get out if she wandered over there; they usually don't, but it only takes
once. I'm still hoping she'll turn up; I will call the shelter tomorrow
to see if anyone brought her in. I'm trying to believe that she wandered
into someone's yard and is being pampered by people thrilled to find a
chicken on their porch (she has recently been getting into the main part
of the yard and staying close to my patio and back door). I find it
difficult to believe she flew over the fence (six feet high) since they
have so much space in the yard, lots of food and no interest in getting
out. Please think positive things for Georgia.

I've harvested a few potatoes and am bringing in squash from time to time
and a few carrots now and then but that, and chard, is about all there is
now. It's really great that some of you are having harvests from fall
gardens. Maybe next year. :-)

Potatoes have been so cheap at the store lately that I've been waiting to
harvest my own. Also, I need to clean up the tomato cages, etc. but have
been recently spending much of my spare time sewing that I've not used
driving the three hours to my mother's house packing for her to move (been
there 39 years) because there is no one else. That gets tiring as I can
only be there for a few hours as she is a smoker and I am allergic to
cigarette smoke. I'm looking forward to being able to concentrate on my
own life after she is moved. Perhaps then we'll have enough drier weather
that I can get the fall work done in the garden now that winter's here; it
must be since we had snow last week, a rarity for here though not unheard
of. In 1978, we had a cold and snowy Thanksgiving week followed the second
week of January with a lot of snow and a silver thaw. That is not our
common weather here in southwest Washington; usually our winters are mild
enough that the pests do very well to plague us (and our pets) the
following year.

Loved the habanero description!

Wishing you all pleasant weather and happy harvesting/planting/seed
catalog browsing.
