Question about test kits...
Hey everyone.
I've had a planted 75 litre tank for just over 2 months now. Some of my plants weren't doing quite well (turning yellow & brown then rotting). I upgraded my lighting, bought some liquid fert & I just got a Nutrafin CO2 Natural Plant System. We'll see if all this helps... So here's my question. If I was to get one main test kit for a planted aquarium, which one is most important? Iron? Phosphate? Nitrate? (I already have PH, Nitrite, Ammonia, KH & GH) Thanks for the help. Ciao! Mork. |

Question about test kits...
It's not one certain element... it's a combination of all of them. You
will be surprised at the power of the CO2 without dosing ferts and doing a 10-15% water change every week. Your plants (at least mine do) get a lot of their food from water changes. Hey everyone. Good luck, have heard good and bad... it's recommended for less than 40g tanks... || So here's my question. If I was to get one main test kit for a || planted aquarium, which one is most important? Iron? Phosphate? || Nitrate? (I already have PH, Nitrite, Ammonia, KH & GH) I use the following pH, kH, gH, NitrAte and phosphate test kits... I only use the pH and kH to find the CO2 levels, NitrAte to see if the filter is healthy, and phosphate for seasonal changes in water supply to see if they've changed anything... some areas, and systems won't need it or be effected by it.... -- | RedForeman ©® fabricator and creator of the ratbike streetfighter!!! | ========================== | 2003 TRX450ES | 1992 TRX-350 XX (For Sale) | '98 Tacoma Ext Cab 4X4 Lifted.... | ========================== | ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø,¸¸¸,ø¤° `°¤ø,¸¸,ø¤°`°¤ø | ((((º`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.·´¯`·.¸.
