Default planting trees

i want to plant a row of trees for privacy, what can i use to dig the holes?
they will be small one foot x one foot holes.
is there some kind of motorized thing to do it with?

You can hire post hole boring machines but they are notoriously difficult
for a novice to use, safer to use a spade.

Three images attached. This is how we do it here in Missouri. Remember to
call your state's underground utility locaters before you dig.

We've rented one several times, and it wasn't very difficult to use -
just heavy to move around! I couldn't deal with it, but hubby could.
