Default AZug-11 - Rudbeckia_5991.jpg

The Rudbeckia hirta is also in full flower here in mid-August. These
are grown from seed and they are in their third-year, I think. The
germination was a little spotty, as I recall, but the plants have been
getting fuller every year and self-sowing some as well. In the first
year the rabbits almost wiped them out, but since becoming
established, the bunnies haven't been bothering them as much.
