Default Exbury Gardens

These are some photos I took yesterday at Exbury Gardens near Southampton,
200 acres of mainly Azaleas and Rhododendrons planted by Lionel de
Rothschild (and his train set). As usual I have packaged them under one
post, if you prefer photos posted separately in future then let me know.

Lovely. Will go on our list of gardens next time we go to the UK.

Thanks for those, Bob. Although I'm not a lover of rhododendron (because of
their invasiveness and lack of hospitality to other life) I remember well
the glorious scent of an azalea on the Two Sisters' Lawn at Hever Castle,
right next to where we used to camp every May. Then yesterday I saw a small,
exquisitely vibrant red bush in a friends' garden and he said it was an
azalea.

So perhaps they're not all bad :-)

Mary
