Was it terribly cold too? Mine is basking in the sun with leaves green
and the blossoms are about gone.

At least it wasn't very cold. But it is now and will be at night (-5°C)
Tomorrow it will be warmer. I have some standard roses, which were tied
up already. Today I bent them down again and covered them. One has died
anyways due to the frost in February.

I haven't been served any chocolate eggs. I guess the Easter Bunny hates
me.

It wasn't very cold last night, but it is now and the night will be. It
will be warmer tomorrow. The forsythias are flowering since about 2 weeks.

Awww, how cruel not to get an egg.
There is some of mine left, I am attaching it for you :-)

I am sorry about your rose freezing to death.
I wrap fleece around vulnerable plants.
Either these:

or sheets of fleece.

That's a beautiful photo! Hope you had a great holiday.

I see you're still in the deep freeze over there! Because it was so mild
in the US this winter, they say it proves global warming. Hello! Europe
was freezing all winter!

February has been very cold, March extremely warm. And a little freezing
now and then in April, even in the first half of May, is not unusual
here. April weather is very much changing here from one day to another,
an old proverb says 'There's nothing more changing than women's minds
and April weather'.

Yes it is, although a little difficult for me to visualize as Easter!
