Fertilizers Question

It is good, and labor-saving, and money-saving, practice to time your
fertilization when rain is in the forecast.

Watering in activates the fertilizer. Also, it helps prevent burning
the plant. I prefer to fertilize (especially a lawn) when the ground
is damp from a recent rain. When using organic fertilizers, burning
is much less of an issue.

when using an organic fertiliser like blood and bone you have to water it
in, or best apply just before some decent rain, to avoid feeding the family
dogs and cats.
