Corn Borers
My seedling corn is being nibbled away and I am not sure who is doing
the nibbling. Do corn borers attack seedlings or just larger plants? What sort of pesticide will control this problem? I am using Malathion but it does not seem to help much. js -- PHOTO OF THE WEEK: http://schmidling.com/pow.htm Astronomy, Beer, Cheese, Fiber,Gems, Sausage,Silver http://schmidling.com |

I gave up growing corn because of borers. No amount of spraying or insect powders worked to keep them away or kill them. |

And slugs. Both would put holes in or tatter the tender leaves. Flea beetles are tiny, and hop off the plants when you disturb them. -- Pat in Plymouth MI ('someplace.net' is comcast) Any technology distinguishable from magic is insufficiently advanced.
