Default Corn Borers

My seedling corn is being nibbled away and I am not sure who is doing
the nibbling.

Do corn borers attack seedlings or just larger plants?

What sort of pesticide will control this problem?

I am using Malathion but it does not seem to help much.

Rabbits will do that if there's no fence to keep them out. I gave up growing
corn because of borers. No amount of spraying or insect powders worked to
keep them away or kill them.

Corn borers don't go after seedlings. Flea beetles do. And slugs. Both
would put holes in or tatter the tender leaves.

Flea beetles are tiny, and hop off the plants when you disturb them.

No. That was one thing I did not try. Have you used it and find it
effective?

Thank you. If we decide to grow corn next year I will try it.
