Default Citronella plant ID help

Some friends of mine have planted seeds that they believe came from a
Citronella plant. Unfortunately, the sproutlings don't resemble the parent
plant,
nor any of the available web pictures such as these

What they have are this.

And this.

Their plants have a finer, smoother cut leaf. They are growing in the
central Florida region.
Any help in the plant identification would be greatly appreciated.
