Default Whats wrong with my Laurel?

Hi,

any idea whats wrong with my laurel?

http://www.flickr.com/photos/9903473@N07/768282090/

the leaves seem to be going a sort of curly, scrunched up sort of way.

we used to have a weeping cherry tree in the middle of this garden and the same started to happen to that.

Cheers,

Not really, but if that were a shrub in my yard, I might suspect that
aphids had been feeding on the shoot soon after it budded out.

If it were at my previous house, and right by the fence, I might also
suspect a light drift of weed-killer from the neighbor's lawn service.
