The next mower we buy will be an electric rechargeable. Maybe one day they will make a solar mower. By then I hope to have a mostly solar and wind energized home. My point is, if you have to mow more than half inch with a push mower, you will die of heat stroke! You may have to mow twice a week. Anyone have any experience with the new robot mowers? maybe "Asimo" will cut your grass for you Rev. http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/ Gotta love Japanese culture. |
Lawnmowers
While I like the environmental aspect of using an electric lawnmower
(presumably the fuel they burned producing the electricity that recharged the battery was cleaner, or better yet hydro-power), I haven't found one that has the 'grunt' of a decent gas powered mower. I have better than a half acre to mow, and anything less than my 6 horse Ariens just doesn't do the job. Has anyone had experience with a cordless electric mower that has the grunt and battery capacity (2 hours or so) to replace the gas models? |
