Default can you identify this plant?

Hello from Massachusetts. This plant was blooming in the mid summer.
It was a volunteer, but we have no recollection of planting it in the
garden before. The nearby gardens have many herbs. The flowers and
foliage have no notable fragrance or flavor. The plant was growing
out from under a container of mixed herby plants, basically in the
cracks of the pavement. The height
was in the range of 12" to 18". The inflorescense was about 1 inch
across.
