Default Venus Fly Trap

hi i bought a venus fly trap ready for spring. it is sitting on my windowsill on the south side with plenty of water and fagnum peat soil, but lately it seems to be really small; because these plants eat insects how about i dig up some dog p0O and put it in its mouth to digest nutrients as it can't eat soil from the roots. please i need help before it dies.

VFTs are outdoor plants from spring though fall. They need dormancy in
winter. Mine go in the fridge until Mid February here in NY. They DO
NOT need to be fed! Keep them in a south sunny window for now and put
outside after all danger of frost is over. FULL SUN, at least 6 hours
a day or MORE. Replant it in 50/50 mix of peat moss and perlite.
