Can anyone please point me to a good web site or group that helps
people dealing with clinical depression in a family?

I don't know of a web site but this doesn't appear to be the group.
Your family doctor should be able to help.

The permanent answer, to the temporary problem.

The fact that a neighbor did this last year, just sucks all the humor
out of it :O(

Temporary for some yes, for others probably not. Cancer and physical
disabilities can cause depression in which drugs cannot, why endure the
pain. If depression is caused by financial means and cannot find a job, a
gun can put food on the table, lots of deer and stray cats around. If
depression caused by physical harassment of others like spousal abuse, the
mere owning one cause another to back away.

As for food, there are lots of food banks around for free. Out of a job and
on the street, may help for protection and feel more secure. Medical
doctors tend to have an arsenal of medications to treat chemical brain
imbalances.

And I did state: if all else fails....

Also we did have this discussion years ago. People need to develop those
mental calluses to harsh words. The week minded people have there feelings
hurt... Boo Hoo... They need to develop strong minds and self confidence
about them selves. People will not become strong minded by caring what
others say.
