Default Little Mickeys

I want to plant some kind of sturdy bush along a short (1 1/2 ft high) rock wall.
A friend has recommended "Little Mickeys".
Googling didn't supply much info.
I would like to make these plants into a hedge about 2 1/2 ft high.
Anyone with experience with these plants?

TIA
