Default More adventures in striping...

After playing with my Lawn Striper push mower attachment for awhile now, I'm
getting the yen for something more. So, does anyone have any experience
with Simplicity riding mowers--the ones with the rollers built into the
cutting deck? If so, how well do they actually stripe? David Mellor, my
personal hero and head groundskeeper at Fenway Park, recommends them, so
that carries some weight, but looking on the Simplicity site
(www.simplicitymfg.com) leads me to believe that he has a vested interest in
the deal.

Also, has anyone tried the attachment from Big League Lawns
(www.bigleaguelawns.com)? Might be a slightly cheaper ends to the same
means.

Basically, if/when I convince my other half that I NEED a rider, the budget
will limit me to an entry-level something. (Deere, Craftsman, and
Simplicity are the front runners in my search right now.) Also, being a
total dolt when it comes to all things mechanical, I'll probably be needing
some sort of service agreement, further limiting my buying power/options.
Of course, I'd love to have one of those giant fairway mowers, and get my
yard done in about three minutes, but I do have to be at least somewhat
realistic.

Anyway, just batting the idea around in my head right now. Any thoughts?
Suggestions?

Rick...wake up. Get a hobby. Lawn striping????? How about chasing your wife
around the house with a cold bottle of bubbly or a nice Merlot? Now THAT'S a
hobby you can sink your teeth into. And, it's really good for your health.

Any old reel mower will do what you want. Although why you want it I can't
imagine.
