Default Flowering Plum - NO BLOOM :(

I have a beautiful Krauter Vesuvius in my front yard that has provided
beautiful blooms the last three springs. This year, although it
showed record growth, it produced very few blooms. I must admit, I am
quite the amateur (with a capital "A") gardener. Could anyone provide
me with some advice as to how I may ensure quality blooms next spring?

Thank you so very much....
