Default overcrowded lobelias...

hi,
i made the mistake of planting a whole packet of cascade mixed lobelia seeds
in a small area (2 columns of a seed tray). i didn't think they would all
germinate but they seem to have! now i have about a hundred seedlings in
each compartment, they are about 1cm tall at this stage.
i've read that some people plant them in clumps anyway without pricking them
out individually. i'm wondering what is best in this situation because they
have grown so close together that i'd imagine its hard for them to grow
anymore without choking each other.
any advice is greatly appreciated!
