Green giant arbovitae

Any experience out there in zone 5? Rhode Island.
Had awful time with leylands, so I am looking for a substitute.
Thanks.

Also, for you RI gardeners, any sources for bagged mushroom compost (or
something like it.) I can't find it anywhere.
