Laid sod 7 weeks ago - have brownish patches -ideas?
Hi all,
Love this forum! I did all the right prep work and the sod was looking great. Lately I am seeing lots of brownish/ greenish spots anywhere from 4 to 12 inches around. I water regularly, and did my first mow today. Should I fertilize and/or use some sort of turf builder? What about putting seed in these spots? I do have two bulldogs that have access, but they do their business in the same spot (corner) which looks great! |

If so, you may have air pockets under the soil, often the result of roots that have rotted and left cavities which are now working their way to the surface. |
