Default Laid sod 7 weeks ago - have brownish patches -ideas?

Hi all,
Love this forum!
I did all the right prep work and the sod was looking great.
Lately I am seeing lots of brownish/ greenish spots anywhere from 4 to
12 inches around.
I water regularly, and did my first mow today.
Should I fertilize and/or use some sort of turf builder?
What about putting seed in these spots?
I do have two bulldogs that have access, but they do their business in
the same spot (corner) which looks great!

Just curious, after you water are these spots spongy? If so, you may have
air pockets under the soil, often the result of roots that have rotted and
left cavities which are now working their way to the surface.
