Default Cutworms Destroying Lawn. Help!!!

Cutworms have taken over and destroyed a good percentage of my lawn. I
tried putting down Scott's "Summer Guard" about 3-4 weeks ago but it does
not seem to be working.

My questions a
1. What should I put down now for a possible"quick" solution (its 1/2 thru
September).
2. Will Milky Spores (a good long-term solution to kill grubs) also kill
cutworms?? I know it takes several applications over the course of a year
or so to kill grubs but I was wondering if it could also be used on cutworms
as well.

All input appreciated.

Cutworm controls only lasts about a day, -provided- you water it
immediately.

Talstar. (water right after)

You have to allow the grubs to feed on your lawn for milky spore to be
effective, it may take two or three lawns before you have enough milky
bacteria established in your soil for good control. You also can not use
any other controls with milky spore, the grubs must eat the spore and die
from milky disease.

I know it takes several applications over the course of a

NO! Milky spore has no effect on cutworms!!

I would try Sevin but it's hazardous to earthworms, too. Here, check
this page, http://www.ext.colostate.edu/pubs/insect/05509.html.
