Is buying a $1000 mower every few seasons better than paying $5000 and
hoping it will last? |

Look around at how many old JD's, Cub Cadets, and other premium brands you see. I see a different 1960's-era JD about every week in the summer. Can't say I've ever seen a MTD or Murray or Crapsman older than a few years. -Tim |

A friend has a 2000 Craftsman that is nothing but trouble. He borrows my old tractor often. |

Try a snapper...I have a 1973 model and my Dad has a 1968 model. They are
almost indestructable, replacements parts are reasonably priced and they will mow just as good as a $5000 mower. "Pat Keith" wrote in message ... Is buying a $1000 mower every few seasons better than paying $5000 and hoping it will last? |
