Default John Deere mower decks

I have a JD LX255 with the 42C mower deck and have had problems with
the deck breaking. The first one JD replaced under warranty but now
that one broke around the right mounting bracket and along the thin
strip on the discharge. I was wondering if this is a problem with all
of the 42C decks or what. I am thinking of getting a 48" deck for it
and I was wondering if anyone had problems with these. I would
appreciate input on either deck. Thanks Dave
