Rose mixup
Well, I guess I know why you should buy certified roses. I bought some
Sexton Roses this year, after having bought Jackson & Perkins in the past. So far, the two that have bloomed are definitely not what they were supposed to be. I thought I was planting Tropicana (orange) and First Prize (pink); instead I have a pure white one and a deep red one. I emailed Sexton and have determined that I have a White American Beauty but haven't heard back about the red one yet. They are nice and all, but not the ones I wanted! Oh well, there's always next year... Elizabeth |
