baking salvia?
 
I just planted some salvia in full, full sun (well, last weekend). The
leaves have been starting to look crispy and brownish -- is this sun
sickness or what? The other plants (verbana, tritoma) look ok, they
certainly had plenty of water over the weekend, and have had some
hand-delivered water during the week.

If they were grown under low light, then moved to full sun, the leaves
probably are cooked. The Salvias should be able send out new leaves, which
will adapt to the new light conditions. What species did you plant? Some
are better at handling full sun than others. For notes on growing Salvias
