Every now and then Wendy will talk about her orchid mentor. My orchid
mentor passed away this weekend. It was unexpected. I'm having a hard time
with this, knowing I won't ever be able to share experiences with her again
or make our annual orchid run down to Santa Barrbara. Funny, not only are
orchids addictive but our fellow addicts are addictive, too. I'll really
miss her.

Around Christmastime I was happy to be able to register a cute mini catt in
her name. She was thrilled. Nowadays these may or may not still be
sophronitis, but here's a pic anyway

Soph. Barbara Tague (Soph. alaorii x Soph. praestans) Both previously were
Laelias.

I'm sorry to hear it, Kathy. Plants we can always replace. Good friends,
never.

So very sorry to hear this Kathy, not sure how I would handle not having
mine
around, you can't fill the void.
However, your Soph. Barbara Tague is lovely & will be a sweet memory.
Wendy.

Lovely one Kathy - I especially like the delicate shading. A fitting tribute to
a special person, and a lovely thing for you to remember her by. Very sorry for
you and for her family.
