Truer words were never spoken - or quoted...

Someone should write a murder mystery or spy novel/thriller about the orchid
world. But no one would believe it.

Sandra K Moore wrote The Orchid Hunter in 2005 It was to have an
orchid on the cover until the editor and artist created another
'flower.'
... ".dedicated her life to tracking down the world's rarest flowers.
But finding the Death Orchid was different. The legendary medicinal
flower could save her dying uncle -- if she could keep the precious
bloom out of her greedy competitors' hands."

(the original cover of wan's "deadly slipper" had a catt on it....)

Mary Motes' book has decent reviews at Amazon, too. There's another Mary
Motes who wrote about the Bosnian conflict in 'Kosova-Kosovo' I wonder if
they are the same person. Anyone know?

it would appear so...

The author was born in England and met her husband, Dr. Martin Motes
(before he became the world famous orchid grower) when both were
teaching in Kosovo, Yugoslavia.

the "orchid hunter" book, and another by the same title, appear to be
bodice-rippers. :)
