A couple of years ago a vendor in Maui sent these granules home with me to use
on the orchid I bought there. The 14-14-14 is smallish grey pellets and the
7-40-6 is larger white pellets. Hand-written on the baggies are "1 tsp every 6
months" and "1 tsp every 3-4 months" respectively. They are apparently meant to
be distributed over the top of the media and should gradually dissolve over this
time.

Could someone give me more info as to the purpose of these and whether these
instructions make sense and if these are appropriate nutrients to use?
