Default Plant ID help

Should be easy. Very plentiful here (Piedmont SC, xeric pine-hardwood
forest, sandy soil.)

I've been waiting for a flower - but have waited and waited and waited.


You might look among the Eupatoriums. Several have this fine foliage
and won't be flowering until fall (small, dirty-white flowers.)

Default Plant ID help

Could be E. capillifolium (Dog fennel), I suppose. Doesn't look exactly
right, but,...maybe. The top of the plant of dog fennel seems tapered
whereas this plant looks more cylindrical. May have to wait until it
blooms.
