Default Another plant ID - with flowers

Piedmont area of SC, Aiken county, USA. Xeric pine-hardwood forest.
Sandy soil.

Labeled Mystery1, Mystery2, Mystery3 at

No leaves in the conventional sense, tiny 5 petalled yellow flowers.

I think this is Hypericum gentianoides. See:
