Fockea tugelensis is Petopentia natalensis. He explained it all in an article
for the Maryland cactus & succulent journal.

I see, one of those cases where a species is removed from a genus into a
newly created genus. The latter gets a name that expresses the close
relationship to the former genus. In this case an anagram of the existing
name. Quite awhile ago, too (fifty years now).

but are actually another caudiciforn not at all closely related and correctly
named Petopentia natalensis (Schlechter) Bullock."

So why am I dead? I should have worded it more carefully that the two are not
actually the same species, but one of them has been misidentified.

In reference to what?

Tacazzea natalensis may be a synonym but Petopentia natalensis is the
accepted correct name for the species.

The plant was never Fockea tugelense at all!!!

If you had ever seen the plant, you would have noticed that neither the
leaves nor the flowers look anything like those of a Fockea.
