Default Reset?

Did anyone else have their newsgroups reset (for a better term) - i.e. I now
have a total of 3 messages showing - everything else is gone (my ISP uses
"Newsguy") - it went completely blank yesterday

Nothing unusual here, but different ISP and I'm using Agent Forte (if that
makes a difference). ~ jan

Following up on my post. The counts are still flakey. Some groups
have them and some don't. One group does and then does not and then
does. Google problem!

I got this answer from "Newsguy" and am passing it along for anyone else
having this problem - mine "Reset" again on Mar 10, so I contacted them and
this is their answer and all my messages have re-appeared

When you first access a group you normally get the complete list of headers
and future access is usually limited to the newer content that comes in
afterwards. Outlook Express has a setting under "Tools - Options -
Maintenance tab" for

Delete news messages "5" days after being downloaded.

That limits what OE is going to hold onto. You can try increasing that
number or maybe un-checking it to see if that helps you out.

To get back to the full list, you need to reset the article information for
the group. From the same area select the "Clean Up Now..." button then use
the "Reset" option on the next popup window so that the header information
is cleared and reset in Outlook Express.
