On the problem of having the pump under 7' of water
Our pump, 13+ years old, just died. It is in the bottom of the 'deep
well' and 7' under the now-cool-to-cold water. I have to go down to pull it. I will replace it with an out of water pump. Bummer. Jim |

Bummer. Of course that was bound to happen when it was cold... not when the water was 75F and up, right? ~ jan ------------ Zone 7a, SE Washington State Ponds: www.jjspond.us |

Well, I did it. Got in the pond, undid the slip connection on the
pipe and pulled out the pump. I haven't the time to do the install of the new pump, so the berm ponds are on their own for a bit. The main pond has the toilet valve to regulate new water. It was cold in there! Jim |
