Hey Judy,
Thanks for the kind words. I have a submerged pump in the middle of the pond (Oasis Optimax 15000), pipe going up over the rim and then under the ground again. Picture 1 is where you should see the pipe come up, only thing is you don't ;-) (That's the hole idea right...) I had to be inventive with some rocks and watermint. http://www.wide-o.net/summerpond2003/filter1.jpg Picture 2 is where it goes back down and under the ground. (pipe is right onder the frog statue) http://www.wide-o.net/summerpond2003/filter2.jpg Picture 3 is the current state of the filter system. http://www.wide-o.net/summerpond2003/filter3.jpg I have 3 more submerged pumps feeding a smaller filter and basically making sure the water is moving/rotating all the time. If I had to do it again (like next year ...) I would dig/build my own filter and work with 2 bottom drains/gravity fed system. The rocks are "Alpine Verde" which are basically green rocks from the French/Swiss Alps. HTH, Theo "Judy" schreef in bericht om... Your pond pictures were nice, I noticed your barrel filter system, but I didn't notice a submerged pump? How did you set up your pump system to get the water from the pond into the barrel? Also what kind of rock did you use to line your pond. It looks nice. Judy from California |
