I am cheap and didn't want to buy a tetra-spensive model. My BD is plumbed
with 4'' PVC. So I have a fitting down there that will take an off the shelf
flange. I bought 4 stainless steel bolts to pass up through the flange, and
I intend to take my wifest finest china to act as the dome. This will force
suction along the bottom of the pond, instead of from straight above. As of
now my BD does nothing but circulate water. Hopefully when the diffuser goes
on, it will also help to clean the bottom.
