Duckweed on the ground around the tub. Silly Coons must have been using the
Wash Tub for washing. :) This explains why the water level dropped, they
overflowed the tub during their bath.

Hey Bill,
They might have also been fishing, they are pretty smart and probably have come
across a container pond full of tasty snails and fish.
They will eat anything they have a mind to but you are probably right they were
cavorting in your tub.

I don't mind having them around, as long as they stay out of the Pond.
Fortunately they haven't realized the electric fence is burned out. It was
cute to watch the three baby Coons mousing last week. They would scurry
through the tall grass trying to flush out the mice.

Depending on the tub's size, maybe you could use screen door material held
down with a bungee cord around the tub? Keep the skeeters out and confuse
the cavorting coons? ~ jan

That's a fine idea to keep the mosquitos out. I could make a wooden frame a
little larger than the tub and stretch some screen over it. Then just sit
the frame over the tub and weight it down. Likely not coon proof, but worth
a shot.
