Default happy St. Patrick's day, algae and polar bears

I've got such a smart pond, it dressed in green for St. Paddy's Day.
Wonder what it will do for Easter.

For those of you who have green ponds in this
early spring, you can feel kin with all your Irish friends
(or yourself) and celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
They dump green dye in several rivers back east, right?

And your algae fact for the day...

In 1979, three polar bears at the San Diego Zoo turned green.

Scientists discovered that colonies of algae were growing in the bears'
hollow hair shafts.
