i've honestly forgotten . it was a stem i accidently broke off a cane
while deadheading. i believe it is a tequila sunrise miniature, but i'm
just not going to know until next year- oh well.

I have tried the baggie method several times with abject failure each
time, and i've read about using mason jars, so i mixed up a pint pot of
potting soil, sprinkled about a tablespoon of rose-tone on there and
screwed the 1/2 gal mason jar over the stem- that was about 6 weeks
ago.

maybe rooting hormone would speed it up.

all the leaves it had fell off, and i basically forgot about it- it
just sat out on a semi-shaded table the whole time. i watered it fairly
regularly- i never let it dry out, but didn't pay too much attention to
saturation levels. there was always condensation in the jar.

i'm going to try another one before the frost
