Hello, and a question..
Does anyone have a link for soil pH analysis in the blacklands of S. Central Texas-or a rough number? I went to the NRCS site, and my county isn't listed. Thanks!

You can obtain general information on this from the published NRCS soil survey for your county. Go down to your local NRCS office to get a copy or they can tell you how to obtain one from the Temple office. Shat county are you in? Rusty Mase Austin, Texas |

I have another related question. Mistake or not, I'm planting some trees from E. Texas/SE USA this fall. A couple of Pin Oaks and Hornbeams, and one Black Tupelo. I'm certain we're alkaline; so should I plant preventatively by amending the soil or symptomatically if I see excessive chlorosis? I tend to the latter, but that's why I'm here to ask. Thanks again. |
