You know, they must have evolved in a very noisy period to make such a
racket. Or maybe just really happy for a couple of weeks of mating after
years underground sucking on roots. I spent too much time last night
exploring the Cicada Mania website...... It's so weird that the various
"tribes" can't interact or interbreed, even within the same species.

I may have to take a look at that when I have some spare time.
Entomology is not a major hobby of mine, but it's still interesting...
