Pear tree problem ... help !
 

My pear tree leaves are looking like they are burnt:

Any idea what could be wrong ?

Also i saw a bunch of these crawling around on the tree:
http://www.geocities.com/rbalach/pear_bug.jpg
Could they be the cause of the leaves turning black / burnt ?

sorry for the fuzzy pics, the breeze kept blowing the leaves around.

I thought too much water causes leaves to turn yellow and soft and fall off.

I watered mine too much & my leaves look just like yours:-)
However, there could be another cause - like heat?
Mine keep coming back, so I quit worrying about it.

Sounds like it to me.

We have a few half-dead leaves from time to time, but
it's no real problem as I see it.

My bigger problem is the freezing of the blooms:-(
