Chinese Pear
We bought a Pyrus Calleryana "Chanticleer" in November 2003 because of its
glorious colours - reds, oranges, etc. Last summer, the leaves were unhealthy, with brown patches, and they dropped off without turning colour. I took a sample back to the garden centre and was advised to give the tree a tar wash next year. In fact, this year we have been dosing it regularly with organic pest spray and the leaves stayed very healthy. But when autumn came, the leaves changed to a dull greeny brown and have just dropped off. No colours. I'm so disappointed. I should be very grateful for advice. TIA Daphne |
