For text only groups it's a lot better, the binary server carries millions
of DVD's, MP3's and tons of other garbage, obviously space is limited so
very often posts will just disappear, what you posted last week may not be
here tomorrow because the server fills up very quickly, the text server has
at least 8 weeks retention, also as I mentioned earlier, the binary server
very often has delays, you'll post something to a group and it wont appear,
so you post it again and again, all the while everyone else *not* using that
server can see multiple messages all saying the same thing! - it's a
disaster at times, although it is handy for videos and music, and programmes
and photos.... etc etc.

BTW blueyonder have their own test group:
