I'd like to grow a holly bush/tree. One of the Christmasy ones like Ilex
Opaca. Can anyone recommend the best way to do this? Where can I get one? A guy in our street has one in his garden. Could I take a cutting from it? What would be the best time to do this and what are the pitfalls? Thanks in advance for any help xiv |

The message

A guy in our street has one in his garden. Could I take a cutting from it? What would be the best time to do this and what are the pitfalls? Growing hollies from cuttings is hard and slow, you'd need specialist equipment. Hollies in pots are easily available at all times of year in any gardencentre, just dig a hole, remove pot, put plant in hole and tuck the soil back round it. Janet. |
