Default Dead Tomato Plants ?

Ok after my earlier post of the 21/05/06 all my tomato plants have now died.
I got in from work today and they had all wilted very badly, wife had given
them plenty of water. The leaves were very brittle and curled up. The stem
just snapped off in my hand as I pulled one of them out. I didn't see
anything wrong with the internal structure of the stem. I also noticed that
there doesn't seem to have been a lot of root growth since they were
planted. Anyone offer any advice? The 3 plants in the growbag my mother gave
me as she didn't have the room for them are still going strong though.

TIA

Redman
