Default Glen Chantry- Pimpinella minor

Went to Glen Chantry in Essex yesterday. Superb garden, well worth
visit, take your RHS card with you and admission is free.
They have built a sort of kitchen in the garden so people can make their
own tea and coffee and get biscuits etc ad are rusted to put money into
a box.
Now how's that for trust?

Lovely couple do all the garden themselves. Will answer any number of
questions.Plant labels and pens available to name your own plants when
you buy them!

Hundreds of beautiful Alliums and lots of quite rare trees including a
white flowered Cercidiphyllum japonicum or \i suppose it could have been
a Cercis.
Wide range of scree and alpine plants immaculately grown
Best thing though was the nursery with absolutely wonderful perennials
in good condition, though you had to search for what you wanted sass
they don't seem to be in a ny one order.
They also specialise in Irises.
However they have a lovely pink/red foamy flowered plant at the front of
the borders which looked really pretty. Sol said it was an annual they
grew, called Pimpinella minor, however I can't find it anywhere on the
net or the seeds.
Does anyone know if it's available. He definitely said minor because I
could find P. major. Plant was about 12 inches high and leaves rather
like saxifrage or carrot.

The gardens are only open on Fridays and Saturdays as it's their private
garden but worth a visit.

Mind the M25 though as they have horrendous roadwork's until 2007 at the
Down to two lanes both ways between J25, Enfield and J26, Waltham Abbey,
speed restriction of 40 mph.
